Purchased this book for my son who is serving time in county jail. He is a gifted poet and prolific writer. I sent him Empire State of Mind about Jay Z and he devoured it. Honestly, I was skeptical about reading this. After finishing it... I absolutely loved it. Khaled sure knows how to invoke positivity into the reader. I would recommend this to anyone looking at a new type of "self-help" book.
hilarious. My BF and I think DJ Khalid is so funny and I bought this as a joke but its honestly very funny to read out loud. Thanks to Khalid we bought new pillows because "when you sleep on greatness, you wake up with greatness" haha
I love DJ Khaled as a personality. I love his positivity and energy. The book seems more germane to him and his life experiences than what we would expect as a reader looking to get something from the book. It was great for about the first 100 pages, then seemed to fall off. Its okay to end a book when you run out of things to talk about. For example, there's a section saying to "buy more pillows"...enough said? Worth the read, but not huge on content.
As an entrepreneur I must say that DJ Khalid knocked it out of the part with this book! There are so many things trying to hold us back. Never let it be "YOU". In this book there are several 'KEYS' that resonated with me. Especially about the "THEY". Cutting all negative people out of our lives is important. Being humble, grateful, and showing appreciation and respect is vital to our success. Nothing can hold you back. Only you can. Just BE THE BEST!
I like DJ Khaled. He seems genuine. I’m not into his music but as a person, I’ve always liked his energy and positivity. That being said, he’s not a writer. This book was hard to get through and not b/c of my lack of reading and comprehension skills. I couldn’t finish it. Sorry!
