I bought Volume One and Volume Two for teaching beginning level ESL. Pictures are valuable aids, but the scenarios included use vocabulary dialog that is above the level I expected. I feel that I will need to white out many of the dialogs to prevent confusion. Additionally, some of the terms sound stilted or downright foreign to my California ears. Headache tablet? We would say pain medicine or pills. Creased. You mean wrinkled? Book a table. You mean make a reservation? Rang the insurance company. You mean you called them? I will make adjustments so that I don't make them sound like a space alien. I will most likely alter and use about 30% of this material.
I don't think that these are very helpful for teaching or learning English. I teach ESL to adults and I bought both volumes. I still haven't used one page from either book for any of my lessons.. Mainly because the books are comic strips without words. You have to have the students insert the dialogue. This could be a supplemental activity if you are following some type of curriculum book. This would be for someone who has developed a great vocabulary and wanting to get extra practice.
Loved this book! Clear, easily understandable, and geared toward the everday needs of new English language learners. Shopping, transportation, banking, household items, greetings, and so on. An extra plus: they use pictures of adults instead of children. It is difficult to find beginning materials not geared toward children.Was delivered on time, in excellent condtion. Highly recommend this seller.

A great book to have in one's English book collection. Great for teaching English to students or adults at all ages. Easy. Simple. Good text and supporting images. Easy to follow.

Like I said, the ESL students like this text and seem to enjoy learning from it with their teachers. It's is like level One not really a foundation text.
